Governance

Overview

Board of Directors: Sets and monitors strategic objectives, governs the Trust, and oversees its management.

Executive Leadership Team: Works closely with the Board, local governing bodies, and headteachers to manage daily operations.

Aim: To deliver a transformative education rooted in faith, ambition, and service, uniting a family of Catholic schools in pursuit of excellence.

DoWAT Governance Structure

The Board meets six times per annum. In addition, there are four committees as follows:

Audit & Risk Committee plays a role in governance and management (meets four times per annum). 

Curriculum & Standards Committee advises on matters related to the curriculum, quality of education and standards (meets three times per annum).

Finance & Resources Committee oversees financial management and resource allocation (meets four times per annum). 

Remuneration & Nomination Committee oversees financial management and resource allocation (meets once per annum). 

In addition, the Trust holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Spring Term of each academic year. 

The Trust's governance structure is flexible and will evolve to suit the needs of the Trust as it grows.
