We are delighted to announce that St Mark’s Catholic School in Hounslow has achieved OUTSTANDING in every category of their latest Ofsted Inspection in September 2022.

Ofsted found that ‘Pupils thrive at this school. Leaders are determined that all pupils will be given the opportunities they need to succeed. This includes a very carefully considered curriculum which is broad and balanced. In lessons, pupils benefit from the very strong subject knowledge of their teachers. Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported in their learning. Pupils achieve very well and are well prepared for the next steps in their education or employment.’

Ofsted commended the ‘exemplary’ behaviour of pupils and noted that ‘pupils feel safe’ at St Mark’s. Inspectors said that ‘Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about the school and are keen to praise staff for the care shown to their children.’ The local governing body at St Mark’s ‘share the vision of leaders to develop the potential of all learners in a safe and supportive environment.’

Pat Murden, DoWAT CEO said ‘I am delighted with this outcome for St Mark’s and pleased that the ambition of the school leaders and staff has been recognised. This report is a testament to the hard work of everyone at St Mark’s who ensure that opportunities for success are open to all. St Mark’s is a vital member of our DoWAT secondary schools, who provides invaluable contributions to our Trust shared best practice. They epitomise our pursuit of Catholic excellence – year in, year out.’
