Raymond Anderson

Raymond (Ray) Anderson OBE (Foundation Director)

Ray retired in 2007 after a career in the Civil Service. He was appointed as a Foundation Director of DoWAT in February 2016 and reappointed in February 2020. He stepped down as a Governor of Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School on 31 August 2020 after 12 years of service, including 3 years as Chair of the Local Governing Body. He retired as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Mediation Hertfordshire in October 2016, having completed a five year term. He chaired a Natural England Stakeholder Working Group on rights of way between 2008 and 2018. He has interests in health issues and is currently a member of the Patient Partnership Group which reports to the Strategic Board of the East of England Cancer Alliances and was appointed Co-Chair of the PPG and a member of the Strategic Board of the Alliance (South) in September 2020. He also joined the Alliance’s Primary Care Group in 2018 and is a member of various groups and Board which operate within the Cancer Alliances. 

He is Chair of the Trust’s Audit and Risk Committee and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors.
