Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium:
The Pupil Premium is extra funding that is given to schools based on the number of pupils receiving free school meals, pupils who are looked after or pupils from military families based in the UK. Historically, these pupils are deemed to have made slower progress and the pupils identified as being “vulnerable”. This is a nationally recognised issue. The purpose of the Pupil Premium is to target support to ‘narrow the gap’. The Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust are committed and dedicated to raising the aspirations and attainment of all students.

How much does the Trust receive?
Each of the schools within the Trust receive an allocation for Pupil Premium based upon their data submitted to the DfE for each pupil registered as eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years. Each schools website provides details of the amount of Pupil Premium funding they have received and how this funding is being used at local level to target support on narrowing the gap.
