The West End beckoned...
On Thursday 24th November 30 Year 11 students from The Douay Martyrs Catholic School ventured up to the West End to see a revival production of ‘An Inspector Calls’ by J B Priestley at the Playhouse Theatre. The trip was a great success – we even found time to admire the River Thames and the London Eye.
The production itself was spell-binding and had the students transfixed as we watched the stage collapse before our very eyes. ‘An Inspector Calls’ is an English Literature text at GCSE so the lucky thirty were able not only to experience the West End theatre in all its glory, but also gain valuable insight into the play in readiness for their exams.
All in all, a great success!
