Douay Martyrs Year 11 Geography Field Trip
In the week before half term all Year 11 Geographers from The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School went to Uxbridge to collect data for their upcoming Coursework. The Coursework is about what local people are doing to try to reduce their Carbon Footprint, and so the students were completing a variety of surveys about what cars people drive, where they shop, whether they have solar panels etc.
One of the surveys was identifying whether people can actually buy locally sourced foods in supermarkets. Above you can see our students investigating the fish available in Sainsbury's.
Many parents have also helped us with this data collection, by completing four online surveys. The Goegraphy Department would like to say a big Thank You to those that have taken part!!
