Harefield Hospital Heart Attack Conference

A number of The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School 6th Form students recently benefited from the opportunity to attend a conference at Harefield Hospital aimed at developing a greater understanding of CPR and its importance in modern society. All students who attended have aspirations to work within a medical field, therefore gaining important knowledge from this event. Delegates were instructed on the current guidelines for performing CPR and carried out role play scenarios which also required effective use of a defibrillator. It was a great opportunity for all students to gain valuable skills and to develop their knowledge of these life saving techniques.
