Douay Martyrs student selected for Pixl Choir of the Year.

George Jones – Leonard was lucky enough to be asked to perform in the Pixl Choir of 2016. Sixty students from schools all over London were chosen to be part of the choir . The performance took place at Central Hall, Westminster, to celebrate achievements made by students in their GCSE results. Olympian Joanna Rowsell attended and awarded prize winners. She gave a speech about her life and her determination to become an Olympian.

The Pixl Choir was directed by Basil Meade who runs the famous “London Community Gospel Choir.” Members of which have performed on X Factor. The Pixl Choir sang two songs, one of which was composed by the organiser of the event and called “Good Men and Women”. The second song was by the American Gospel group, Sounds of Blackness, entitled 'Optimistic'.

A massive congratulations to George for being selected to perform with other outstanding singers across the country!
