Grand Speak Out Challenge at Cambridge Theatre

Last night Denzel represented The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School at the Grand Speak Out Challenge at the Cambridge Theatre.

He was selected after winning the Hillingdon Final last December. There were 560 students from across London and Essex competed in regional competitions and only 15 were selected to compete at the Grand Final so it is an amazing achievement for Denzel.

He performed his speech ‘Dream’s philosophy’ in front of a panel of judges who even included Amanda Spielman ( Chief Inspector of Ofsted).

He really did the school and himself proud. Although he may not have been the overall winner, he’s certainly a winner in our eyes!!
