Hillingdon Schools Music Concert

On Wednesday 13th June, The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School members of the Chamber Choir, Show Choir and the year 9 music class attended the Hillingdon Schools Music Concert. This was an event was arranged by Dan Cullum, Head of Music at Vyners School, as an opportunity for music departments across the borough to showcase the music being created in schools.

There was a fantastic festival atmosphere and, although the event ran rather late, spirits were high. Ms. Considine’s choir performed their Lion King Medley followed by Serena, Ruth, Dominika, Dawid and Rowan in year 9 performing Havana. Mrs Arnold’s choir performed Dona Nobis Pacem and Dawid brought our set to a climactic close with David Bowie’s Life on Mars, performed with full Bowie-esc make up. The pupils behaved and performed beautifully and did the school and their parents (many of whom were there) proud!
