We come to the end of another very busy half term. This last week has been ‘stunning’ as KiSS Week always is. The Head Boy and Head Girl team of Ethan Day, Meghan Capper, Rishabh Joshi, Clare De’Ath, Catriona Fryer and Gemma O’Donnell have done a remarkable job. The week has been exciting, innovative, challenging and, I am anticipating, very rewarding. I have no doubt that this team will have raised a significant amount of money to help our extended community in Uganda. Well done to everyone involved.
After the half term break the school will return to the usual public examination countdown and I know that the pupils in Year 11 and students in Year 13 have been working very hard in preparation for their final examinations. Mock examinations are taking place after half term and I wish everyone success in these final weeks.
There are a large number of support sessions being organised and delivered by the staff after school next half term. Please ensure that your children are aware of these sessions and make good use of them. I am always impressed by the dedication of our outstanding staff who give up their time to support our children.
Ash Wednesday takes place during half term and we will mark the beginning of Lent on our return. This is a very important period of reflection for us all and the school will do all that it can to support the faith journey of all during this period. Reconciliation and Masses will take place during next half term and many of our local priests will be in school to support us.
I wish you all an enjoyable, restful and spiritual half term. I thank you all for your continued support and I ask that you keep our children facing public examinations in the summer in your prayers.
God Bless, Mr Mathew
