Celebrating young people’s achievements
With nominations drawn from hundreds of schools throughout England and Wales, the judging panel awarded The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School the Cardinal Hume Award – ‘Living out the option for the poor.’
Sore, Caitlin, Rachel and Naiya, Year 11 students, travelled to Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square on Thursday 23rd November, 2017, to receive the Award on behalf of all the staff and students who are engaged in a lived Catholic Social Action; committed to building bridges and bringing people together. The trophy and certificates were presented to Luisa Foley, our School Chaplain, and the four student representatives by Archbishop McMahon. This is a great testimony to our commitment to 'The Douay Way'.
