Primary Maths Challenge 2017

For the first time St John’s have entered the Primary Maths Challenge. The children in years 5 and 6 sat a special paper designed to find out the best mathematicians in the country for their age group.
The School recognises the internal winners and we share our results with the national organisers to see if any of our children go forward to the next round.
Here are our winners of the competition in school:
Gold – Miguel, Daniel and Lily
Silver – Maxwell, Poppy, Kayleigh, Harry, Jemima, Joshua and Lexi
Bronze – Molly, Kate, Ines, Eliza, Jaime and Erin
All children who chose to enter received a certificate.
If anyone does get selected to go through to the next round, we will find out early in the spring term.
Many thanks to Mrs Hales and Miss Bailes for organising this and to the pupils for their hard work and perseverance.
