Year 11 Visit to New York

During the February half term, 57 students and 6 teachers from The Douay Martyrs School went on an enrichment visit to New York. They visited Rockerfeller Centre and went to the top of it (Top of the Rock) to get a good view of the New York skyline, Ground Zero, Wall Street and St. Pauls Chapel (the little church on the corner of the twin towers that didn’t get destroyed and was a place of refuge for the injured on 11/09/01), MoMa, the Microsoft Store, the Apple Store, Central Park, the Trump Tower, and they watched 'School of Rock' on Broadway. This was great experience for the students, who were very well behaved and had a once in a life time opportunity.
