Our Lady Catholic Primary school is a one form entry school catering for children between the ages of four and eleven. There are 218 on roll. It has been judged ‘Outstanding’ in the last three Ofsted reports.
The school is affiliated to the Parish Church of Our Lady Immaculate and St Andrew and benefits from a close supportive relationship with the pastoral team, parishioners and the local community.
Our Lady School is a safe, strong, vibrant, creative place where children receive excellent teaching and love through the guidance of scriptures and the gospel teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Pupils learn and work in a ‘Rights Respecting’ environment based on the UNICEF articles. Pupils are supported and guided spiritually and morally, learning how to make good effective choices.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced, giving opportunities for artistic exploration, musical knowledge and expression. We prepare children for their future as active, responsible citizens able to interact making positive contributions to the community. Our Lady School embraces new technologies and gives our pupils the skills necessary to prepare them for an international society and economy.
Our school works together with parents, governors the parish and the community to build a bright future for our children. We give our pupils voice and build their self -esteem, helping them to become confident individuals who know how to lead, safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.
